Older US-made Vintage horn known as the 10M “Naked Lady”.  Circa mid-to-late 1936.   This saxophone just received a full professional repad and cleaning done at Musicare Inc.   This horn was re-lacquered at some point; job was well done with very little damage done to engraving detail and tone holes.  Some wear and tear on the finish is visible, so it was likely done some time ago.   That said, some of the smaller tone holes near the top of the horn had been filled either pre or post relacquer, but the “rolled” part is still there – so it was minimal.  Horn also had some dents removed prior to relacquer; waves visible in bell throat, but it also needed further dent removal as part of the repad process.  All components of the saxophone appear to be original – including the neck.  There does not appear to be any major structural repairs; body is straight, tone holes are level, bell is in original shape and keys show no sign of damage.  All the pivot “lock” screws are in place and functioning.  Only key with signs of swedging is the octave key.

Horn now has all new pads, corks, felts and professional set-up for optimal playability; including G# & D# trills.  Pads are genuine tan kid leather with Selmer-type plastic resonators.  This sax is now completely dent-free.  Comes with an original Conn case (assumed to be from this horn).  The case is intact with no major tears or damage, however edges are all taped and there was one patch put over a larger spot on the lid.  Latches hold securely, but spring action is lost on the upper hasps.  Interior is clean and intact, but case has a musty smell to it; sadly this is often the issue with vintage horn cases.  Included is a basic ABS plastic mouthpiece w/ ligature, and related accessories.  Saxophone and neck are sealed in plastic to avoid leaching of case smell until it finds a new home.  It’s ready to play and needs absolutely nothing but a new owner.  For more information please contact our sales office.
